01. The Challenge

The Batangas Port Diversion Road segment (K0102+355 – K0102+770) experienced early signs of wear and deterioration due to increasing vehicular traffic, port-related heavy loads, and changing weather conditions. This raised safety concerns and threatened the long-term reliability of the national road network in the area.

02. The Solution

Through the Asset Preservation Program under Preventive Maintenance for Secondary Roads, targeted maintenance was conducted on this road section. The intervention included resurfacing, sealing of cracks, and drainage improvements to prevent further damage and extend the road’s service life, all while minimizing disruption to daily traffic flow.

03. The Result

The maintenance work successfully restored the road’s structural integrity, ensuring smoother travel, reduced risk of accidents, and prolonged lifespan of the infrastructure. This contributed to a safer and more reliable national road system, supporting economic activity around the Batangas Port area.
